Jackson is 5!

Jackson is our oldest child, and he is letting the world know that he is now 5 years old! He is exited about the prospect of him going to school in a few months. He proposed yesterday that he would start going right as soon as he turned 5, and wondered why his older cousins get to go EVERY DAY but he has to wait. :)

So we partied for Jackson's 5th Birthday on Tuesday. We had 10 kids age 3-5 over to our house for the afternoon to celebrate with Lightning McQueen-themed colors and plates, candy hunt, bubble blowing, bike riding and of course opening presents. I shot video on most of that, so I don't have it to put online just yet. Here's a few shots from lunchtime.

Those of you that know Jackson well probably know that he is a "winker" and has been since he was 3. Back then, he dedicated about 2 weeks to learning to wink with both eyes, and is pretty slick at it now. In fact, I didn't even know he winked at me until I chimped the shot. **For those of you who don't know, "chimping" is what its called when you stand idly looking at the screen on the back of your camera.**
